SUSPENSION OF POLICIES
Under circumstances which require a waiver of a policy, the section or sections of
Bonneville Joint School District No. 93 Board policy, including those governing its own
operating procedures, may be temporarily suspended.
Guidelines
1. In order to suspend a policy, all Trustees must have received written notice of the
meeting which included a proposal to suspend the policy with an explanation of the
purpose of such proposed suspension.
2. The policy may be suspended by a majority vote of Board members present at the
meeting.
3. If such a proposal is not made in writing in advance of the meeting, the policy may
only be suspended by a unanimous vote of all Trustees present.
4. Reasons for the suspension of a policy shall be documented in Board minutes.
5. Board policies established by law or by contract may not be suspended.
