COMMUNITY RELATIONS <br />4285 <br />(also 3250 and 5365) <br />Page 1 of 2 <br /> <br />Bonneville Joint School District No. 93 <br />USE OF SCHOOL PROPERTY FOR POSTING MATERIALS <br />AND DISTRICT ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT OR STUDENTS <br />FOR DISTRIBUTING INFORMATION <br /> <br />Bonneville Joint School District No. 93 shall refrain from having students, as student <br />body members, used for collection or dissemination purposes. Outside organizations <br />desiring to use students for information, sales material, or special interest curricula shall <br />not be allowed access. No non-school sponsored or non- school affiliated organization <br />shall distribute flyers or other materials on school property without having submitted a <br />written request and received a written approval from the Superintendent/designee in <br />advance of the distribution. <br /> <br /> <br />Guidelines <br /> <br />1. The designated representative of the District’s certified professional employe es shall <br />have the right to place appropriately identified notices, circulars, and other <br />information not derogatory to the School District and/or its personnel on designated <br />school bulletin boards and in the professional employees’ mail boxes. <br /> <br />2. PTO’s and Booster Organizations shall obtain approval from their respective <br />principals before distributing materials through students at their schools or posting <br />information on school property. <br /> <br />3. Prior to any staff member distributing information District-wide via mass email, such <br />material shall be reviewed by the District Leadership Team. <br /> <br />4. The following materials may upon approval from the Superintendent/designee be <br />distributed through students or posted on school property at the building principal’s <br />discretion: <br /> <br />a. Information relative to recognized student activities and school-affiliated <br />organizations in the District. <br /> <br />b. Information relative to student-centered, non-profit, non-discrimination programs <br />and activities. <br /> <br />c. Reward oriented materials with an educational purpose. <br /> <br />d. Any commercial publication that has the purpose of furthering a school activity, <br />such as graduation, class pictures, or class rings. <br /> <br />Advertising <br /> <br />This policy does not prevent advertising in publications of school organizations, subject
