Shalene French
Chairperson Winchester asked Dr. French to report on personnel issues so the Board is aware if questions come up with regard to these situations.

Dr. French reported that a coach was suspended for a tournament. They are monitoring the situation. At this point the suspension is only for one
tournament. There was an incident with another coach where disciplinary action was taken and a letter placed in the personnel file. She reported on an
employee who was suspended with pay for a week. This situation is also being closely monitored. Dr. French informed the Board of an employee of the
District who is very ill. The individual has plenty of sick leave and if able to come back, there will be a position available. There is a Worker’s Comp claim as
well. The individual’s current job duties have been reassigned and the job descriptions of those affected have been changed. The pay rate has been
appropriately adjusted for those individuals. The administrative assignment at Telford Academy has been changed. Dr. French will look into a possible
change in the compensation for that position. She then explained that pursuant to the Code of Ethics for Idaho Educators, we may need to restructure
sports and extracurricular camps that are allowed to be held on District property. The mechanism regarding how coaches are compensated for these
events needs to be reviewed. She will get clarification on this matter and report back to the Board at a work session. There is a need to train athletic
directors and coaches on the best methods to handle money for these events.

Chairperson Winchester thanked Dr. French for the information and moved to the discussion of the Superintendent’s Evaluation with the Board .

B.
