HomeMy WebLinkAbout8310 Healthy Lifestyles Advisory CommitteeNON-INSTRUCTIONAL OPERATIONS 8310 Page 1 of 1 Bonneville Joint School District No. 93 HEALTHY LIFESTYLES ADVISORY COMMITTEE With the purposes of monitoring the implementation of the Bonneville Joint School District’s healthy lifestyles policies, evaluating policy progress, proposing revisions of the policies as necessary, and serving as a resource to school sites, a Healthy Lifestyles Advisory Committee is hereby established to develop, implement, monitor and review district-wide nutrition and physical activity policies. The Board specifically acknowledges that community participation is essential to the development and implementation of successful school wellness policies. Guidelines 1. Committee membership shall consist of the following: a. Superintendent/designee; b. School Health Professional; c. District Child Nutrition Coordinator; d. School Board member; e. Parent(s); f. Student(s); g. Health and Physical Education teacher(s); and h. A member of the general public. 2. The committee will meet as needed for continued assessment of the District’s nutrition and physical activity policies. 3. Recommendations regarding revisions to the local wellness and healthy lifestyles policy will be made available on the District website. 4. Committee shall report annually to the Board of Trustees.
