VI.OldBusiness 1.ConstructionFinancialUpdate –MikeSorenson presented informationonthe2004and2006bondsinformingthe Boardthatinthe2006bondthereis$393,000left which landwillbepurchasedtoclosethisout. 2.EnergyEducation –EdGraff,PresidentRockyMountainDivisionpresentedinformationprovidinga proposalthat projectsanetsavingsofmorethan$4,100,000willbeachievedasaresultofimplementingourpeople-oriented Transformational EnergyManagementProcess.Savingswillcomefromtheorganization’sutilitybill. Organizationsnationwidehave benefitedfromEnergyEducation’suniqueapproachtocuttingthecostsofenergy. ChairmanLordswouldliketohavefurtherdiscussionattheDecemberWorkSession. VII.PublicInput Policy#1550 -PublicInputwillprovideanopportunityforanyBoardMember,administrator,staffmember,studentor patrontoraiseissuesofinterest.TheBoardwillreceivesuchinputwithoutcomment,excepttoaskgermane questionsofthosespeaking.Commentsshouldbelimitedto3minutes.TheBoardwilltakeno actionrelativetoany itemsduringthemeeting,butmaydirecttheSuperintendenttoconsidersuchanitematasubsequentmeeting. Renae Cook,concernedparentofanautismchildis verygrateful totheBoardandSchoolDistrict forallowingthe changestobemadeintheautismclassrooms.ThankYou! Bruce RobertsinformedtheBoardthat thehigh schoolsScienceDepartmentreceivedan INLminigrant of$5,000 for upgrades. Brock Sondrup,MattMiller,andEricRooney Hillcrest DebateStudents presentedaletterfromAmyWalker,Debate teacherrequestingtheBoardtoreviewthedistricttechnologypracticesandpoliciesregardingpersonallaptop computersrecommendingapprovalfortheuseofpersonallaptopcomputersintheclassroom. ChairmanLords assignsthesuperintendentandstafftolookintothismatter. VIII.NewBusiness 1.StudentOrganizationsandClubs –Dr.TravisMitchell presented BHSandHHSClubsinaccordancewithpolicy #3382. MOTION:DeVereHuntmadethemotiontoacceptBHSandHHSproposedclubsandorganizations, secondedbyAnnetteWinchester.Allinfavor,motionpassed. 2.ProposedPolicies –AssistantSuperintendentDr.Roberts presented 8policies,procedures,and/orforms, requestinga30-dayreviewwithintheschoolsin ourdistrict.
