Attend new teacher and benefit orientations, where applicable, prior to the <br />beginning of the school. <br />2. No additional compensation shall be awarded for attendance at and /or performance <br />of required duties as listed in this section, Duties as Assigned. <br />Leaves <br />1. Certified staff will be credited with sick leave and personal leave annually at the <br />beginning of the school year. <br />2. Pursuant to Idaho Code §33 -1217, unused sick leave will be allowed to accumulate <br />from year to year so long as the employee remains continuously in the service of the <br />District. <br />3. Certified staff may participate in the Sick Leave Bank. <br />4. Certified staff may be granted the following temporary leaves as set forth in the <br />current Master Agreement: <br />a. <br />Personal <br />b. <br />Bereavement <br />c. <br />Obligatory <br />d. <br />Professional <br />e. <br />Jury Duty <br />f. <br />Military <br />g. <br />FMLA <br />6. For absences not authorized by the District or days taken as leave without pay, <br />certified employees shall forfeit a pro -rated share of their annual salary for each <br />absent day as a liquidated damage and not as a penalty. <br />Worker's Compensation <br />To the extent that certified employees receive Worker's Compensation benefits under <br />the Worker's Compensation Act of the State of Idaho; the individual will follow District <br />policy #5465 Workers' Compensation Benefits. <br />DEFINITION: <br />Certified Staff: includes all certificated staff except principals and District <br />administrators. <br />Bonneville Joint School District No. 93 <br />Certified staff Pro\isions for Employment <br />
